is pooping when squatting healthier than on a train toilet?

Accepted Answer

No.: A baby won't be any healthier learning to pop while squatting vs on a training toilet.  As long as the end result is that they get potty trained.  Here in the us, there's a whole industry around "training products" - doesn't mean it's the only right way.  Babies in other countries are "trained" in a multitude of different ways... And they do just fine.

is pooping in the squatting position (instead of sitting) a way to treat or prevent hemorrhoids?

Theoretically: The buttocks rest on the seat and the entire pressure of any straining is directly on the anus and the hemorrhoids. While squatting the pressure would be equalized to the entire area. It is not considered an important treatment mnodality and is unklikely to help someone with hemorrhoids. Hight water and fiber intake with taake care of them the majority of times.

Squatting may help: Squatting is a natural position for pooping. Sitting on a toilet as if sitting on a chair is what we do in the "civilized" world, but is not the most natural pooping position. Note that people use squat toilets in many parts of the world. If looking for constipation help, one can try pretty much any position that seems to help. It's a free country, after all, and nobody's watching in the bathroom.

i noticed a small lump under the skin near my anus, between the anus and my tailbone. it's painless and i only notice it when i squat down.

Lump near anus: If it is at the very base of your spine it MAY be a pilonidal cyst.  It MAY be another type of cyst or something else.  You have the courage w/in you to see your doc and get it taken care of.  Then you will  have peace of mind.  Please do so. Peace and good health.

Theoretically yes: There are many who feel that this is true, though everyone has their own opinion on it.

i am experienced black tar-colored stool and anal itching. the stool is not smelling bad and i had a bowl of blueberries for breakfast. not taking any pills. and i was squating over the toilet. ?

Your stool color is: most likely dietary. If it persists then go to see a health care provider for evaluation. If you become dizzy or pass out, don't wait for your stool color evaluation, go immediately to the health care facility.

Squat on the seat: Some people squat on the toilet (with their feet on the toilet seat), but good balance is important, to avoid falling off of or falling into the toilet.

Possibly: The first thing is to make sure you do not have arthritis, which can also make tearing/grinding sounds -- so you need an x-ray.  Then a good exam by and orthopedic specialist will help determine if it is a meniscal injury.  If knee locks or catches and meniscus involved, you may need a scope for a menisectomy (i.e. Clean out).

i cannot bend my knee all the way back, heel to but without pain and if i squat it hurts as well   i feel a pain on the inside of the knee between wha?

Need more info..: I am not fully sure of what you are asking, and more information might be needed.  If you can bend your knee back to your rear, that is basically all the way, but if you cannot along with the other symptoms it appears you might have sprained a ligament on the inside of your knee and you should see your doctor for a full exam of your knee, like an Orthopedic doctor, to see how bad it is. No: There are no foods or exercises that will trim fat in one particular area of the body. Generalized weight loss through healthy diet along with varied types of exercise will tone all areas of the body and give you a better overall appearance.
