Fatigue: Most women will experience fatigue, minor bowel changes, vaginal discharge, pelvic discomfort, and incisional pain.  Less common but significant problems include infections in the bladder, the pelvis, or the incisions.  Rare but serious problems like injury to the bladder or the bowel could cause severe abdominal pains, constipation or diarrhea, or fever about a week post-op.

See your family doc: If your having consistent bleeding i would recommend seeing your family doctor or gynecologist to make sure it not a serious disease process.

Rarely: Incontinence rare after a hysterectomy. But this is a question for your gynecologist when you go for consultation.  Ther are several approaches for hysterectomy and the surgeon will know the answers

More info needed: In the long run, there should be no affect on your bowel or bladder function after hysterectomy.  There are risks of surgery to both those organ systems, but those problems would arise promptly after surgery.

acute renal failure after hysterectomy becuase of uterine cancer. is this normal after a hysterectomy? problems after surgery, dec 2011, mother 62, now renal failure. kidney doctor found blockage causing the kidneys to fail.

Assuming : Assuming that your mother did not have chronic renal disease going into surgery, then the prognosis for recovery of kidney function will depend on the reason for the acute injury.  Most often acute renal failure is due to a period of low blood pressure, where there is not enough blood pressure to perfuse the kidney which results in something called acute tubular necrosis.  There are varying degrees of this, which should improve once the blood pressure stabilizes, in some cases, hemodialysis may be necessary to support the kidney until this recovers.  Another potential cause though, particularly in uterine surgery, is injury to the ureters, sometimes due to the extent of the tumor or difficulty in removing the uterus.  As you mention that the kidney doctor said a blockage was found, this may be a contributing factor, but usually is known prior to surgery.  Other causes (unlikely here) may relate to drug toxicities, for example antibiotics or chemotherapy related.

In general, if the patient goes into surgery with good kidney function, the prognosis for recovery is good once all the inciting factors are removed.

after my hysterectomy (2 years ago) i have noticed a dirt like substance almost every time i wipe. what possibly the problem i am having and how can i stop that? it is bothering me so much. no odor or anything but just that?

: If the hysterectomy included removal of the cervix, the scar tissue at the upper vaginal closure site can be irritated by sexual activity or infection, and slight bleeding may occur. Oxidized blood may be granular and very dark, producing the condition described. Best is to see your gyn surgeon for an exam.  If the cervix was not removed, bleeding from the cervical canal is possible.

i am a 63 yr old women 20 yrs post hysterectomy and this is the second time in a yr i have had a bleed thru problem what could it be?

Need a Gynecologic c: Post menopausal bleeding requires a gynecologic check up to find the cause. They will need to check your cervix and vagina(pelvic examination) to find the cause of bleeding which can be serious. So do not delay it anymore!

i have undergone partial hysterectomy before four years.now i am having odourlesss colourless fluid discharge.is there any problem for me ?

Unlikely: a discharge that is odorless and colorless and doesn't cause any irritation is most likely simply secretions from the vaginal glands.  Most infectious discharges would have those other characteristics

i have ed and my wife tightens up so much when she's excited that i can't penetrate. she has hysterectomy and no cervix. is that part of the problem?

No: Vaginismus is when the  vagina contracts so tightly involuntarily that very little will penetrate the opening as it is made up of a muscle. Lubrication, counseling, and relaxation exercises can all be beneficial.
