: Can be prevented by keeping a balanced diet, proper hydration and physical exercise that is critical for bowel activity. If constipation present high fiber diet, prunes and ripe pears should help.

Constipation and gas: Well there are lots of things to try for constipation and as long as this is a long term problem you could try: sennekot, miralax, (polyethylene glycol) probiotics, acidophillus, mom, lactulose, prunes, more fruit...If this is a new problem get it checked out.As for gas..Gasx and acidophillus or probiotics might help.  Basically your normal bacteria just make more gas.

Hydration: Proper hydration is critical, providing no other medical issues. Urine color may be used with the goal as being clear to light yellow. That will definitely help with the constipation also. If, in spite of increasing your water intake, you still experience a tendency to constipation please mention it to your doctor, since further work up might be needed.

Gallstone: As amazing as it it that this rather large stone hasn’t bothered you to this point, I can’t easily identify it as a cause for your gas and constipation.  I think these are two separate issues.  So I’m not sure that having your gallbladder out would help your gas and constipation.

May be related or no: Your symptoms may or may not be related to your gallstone.C typically gallbladder pain is in the right upper part of your abdomen, often related to eating greasy food.  It can be accompanied by nausea , vomiting bloating and burping.  Your constipation and gas may be separate or related.  Try low fat diet, fib er supplement and if you continue to have symptoms go see your family doctor , .

Gassiness: can be from a variety of effects. Ignoring that they aren't FDA approved, are not reliably made, are not evaluated for whether their ingredients are stable over time, etc. 
PROBIOTICS could be tried;
but seriously, a change in diet is always the first thing to try, and probiotic foods (yogurt) are ones with little gassiness generally anyway.

i have been unable to pass gas easily since last week. i can do#2 without a problem, so i dont think its a blockage. i was taking miralax and phillips fiber gummies before to prevent constipation. could they have caused a motility problem?
