Possibly effective: I don't have experience with Prid, and it is not commonly used in US compared to other countries like UK. Anecdotal reviews support it's effectiveness for acne and other skin conditions and the ingredients appear to be safe and available without Rx.

Perhaps: This is a remedy that has never been tested by the FDA for safety or effectiveness.  Its directions do not cover use on mucus membranes such as the vagina.  It is manufactured by a homeopathic company, so the chances are that the amount of active ingredients in the salve are negligible and you will not harm yourself.  However, there is no data to prove this one way or the other.

Boil: Depends on how big the boil is, and how aggressive you are in your treatment. Hot water compresses applied 4 times a day might work better than the drawing salve.

Ans: Yes it is good it is reducing. Apply heAt to the area. It will either resolve or open.

Heat: In general application of heat frequently will help more than any ointment or creams. Heat dilates your blood vessels allowing more of your antibodies and white blood cells to deal with the problem. If open then a topical antibiotic or antiseptic should help more bacteria from entering the wound.

i have a small wood splinter in my finger. its not at the surface as tweezer isnt working. it happened this morning. i placed some prid drawing salve on it.how long should i give it to work before going to the doc? thanks?

: If you haven't been able to remove it by now, I recommend proceeding to the ER or urgent care clinic for removal and proper instructions about care following the removal.

infection on my finger, the nurse at my work poked it to drain it while soaking in hot water. was told to get epsom salt and prid, now what do i do?

I&amp;D: Keep wound covered with bandaid or other bandage.
Keep wound clean.
Follow-up with PCP to make sure wound is healed.

Go to Emergency Department if symptoms worsen and/or you develop signs of infection including redness, warmth, swelling, pain.

which herpes virus do i have? 1 or 2 and can this be diagnosed through a pap

Positive for herpes: A pap smear itself is not an accurate test for herpes. But apparently your doctor took a culture test for herpes simplex virus (HSV), at the same time s/he did the pap smear. Did you have blisters or sores? You have genital herpes, but can't tell which type, HSV1 or HSV2. The lab can do more testing to tell which one. Contact your doctor and make sure they do that; it's important to know the type.
