Yes.: As the attached image demonstrates any fetal demise with ongoing pregnancy will result in mummification of the lost fetus (papyraceous) that can sometimes be seen as part of the placenta/afterbirth. A fetal demise in more advanced gestational age may not always lead to complete reabsorption but rather an incomplete autolysis and dehydration of the retained embryo.

No.: You need to be seeing a high risk OB specialist.  C-section would usually be recommended for multiple gestation because the risk of vaginal delivery is high.  Consult with your ob.

Not good: Quadruplets are extremely rare. Nowadays, it is usually the result of IVF.

Why quadruplets?: Start with discussing this question with your regular ObGyn. Why do you want quadruplets? Pregnancies with more than 1 fetus are considered higher risk for both babies and mothers, especially if more than twins. The goal for fertility doctors is a happy, healthy outcome for both Mom and infants- not setting the record for the most babies in a single pregnancy. Please evaluate your goals for quads.

That also means that from 0 to ~2 weeks of pregnancy, nothing has happened at all. Complicated, right?
