i'm 7 months pregnant and can't stop eating white lily self rising flour. my baby moves a lot when i eat it but i'm trying to stop. can the flour harm?

PICA: It sounds like you have developed PICA - the urge to eat something not generally considered food. I am not aware of specific dangers of eating raw flour. It is important to let your doctor know that you are eating this though and PICA can be discussed in more detail. Try to find a similar food that healthier but still relieve the urge -- cereal, granola are ideas to try.

No: Cravings for specific foods are generally an indication of a vitamin or mineral deficiency.  Please indicate to your prenatal care provider that you are having these specific cravings.  Your provider is likely to recommend further testing to determine if you have a nutritional deficiency that can be corrected.

Your fine: Its unlikely that any reasonable levels were achieved that could affect the baby if you are ok.

i wanted to know if it is safe to eat cassava/yuca flour during pregnancy i was at a brazilian restaurant and ate the cheese bread balls and they are made with cassava/yuca flour and i have read things that says not safe and it is safe ?

: Yes, you can eat that flour during pregnancy.
In my country (Vietnam) most pregnant ladies eat that without any problem. I practiced medicine in my country in the 70s before immigrating here.

what does it mean when you hear a pop sound when having sex if your tubes are tied does it mean my tubes came untied because i eat slot of flour plus i'm having symptoms of pregnancy and when i smoke cigarettes i get dizzy and sick every morning?

: It would be extremely unlikely for that to happen, and if it did you would not be able to hear it. if you think your other symptoms are possible signs of pregnancy, I would do a pregnancy test first. If you are still having issues, you should see your gynecologist. Good luck.

ok so i  am 9 weeks pregnate and just ate vegetable lasagna and not  thinking to read the ingredients... is rye, tritcale and oat flour safe???

Enjoy...: Unless you personally have specific issues with rye, wheat, and oat (such as celiac- which I doubt or you would have known not to eat lasagna), then you have nothing to be concerned about after eating those ingredients.  Congratulations on the pregnancy.

Eat Jackfruit!: Absolutely.  It is high in protein, potassium and vitamin B12.  also low in Carbs and taste like Juicy Fruit!  We don't see many of them in the Pacific Northwest though :(

Vinegar : Vinegar is safe to consume during pregnanacy. Speak to your OB about foods that are not.

Hard to say: If the rice is sterile and not dirty I do not see any effects. However if the rice is soiled and contains bacteria you will likely have problems with infection. I would cook the rice.

is eating plums during pregnancy okay?

Accepted Answer

Plums are a : Healthy food you can eat during pregnancy. However, plum juice can have a higher sugar content then plums - so use should be judicious.
