i had unprotected sex and after 18 hours i took i pill (emergency pill)now 6 days has passed and today i got bleeding is it pregnancy bleeding or period bleeding? how do i now?

: First of all, a normal pregnancy is not associated with bleeding. Bleeding often occurs early in a pregnancy (and may represent a problem) but should not be considered a sign of pregnancy. The emergency pill may cause bleeding a few days after you take it, so if you are not expecting your period yet that is the most likely explanation.

Not normal: Bleeding during pregnancy is not normal, and should be evaluated by your doctor. Mild cramping and nausea during early pregnancy may be normal. Take a pregnancy test.

No period 1 yr: If you have had no period in a year, you need some hormonal testing from your gyn provider to see why, unless you have a Mirena IUD which can cause a brown discharge, etc. and can inhibit ovulation in some women.

Color: Often pregnancy bleeding starts out brown and then can become bright red. If you are not sure, see your doctor.

Varies: Not all pregnancies have any bleeding.An implantational bleed can happen when the pregnancy implants in the uterus but this doesn't happen every time and 1/2 of all pregnancies have some bleeding known as a threatened miscarriage in the first trimester. 1/2 of these miscarry and the other1/2 go on to have normal babies and no one knows what caused the bleeding. This varies just like normal periods

Yes: if you had unprotected sex and if you missed your period, you can be pregnant. You definitely have some symptoms of early pregnancy
Get a home pregnancy test to determine if you are pregnant.

Pregnancy test: Very easy to tell the difference. Check a pregnancy test. If it is negative then its a period. If it is positive then it's bleeding in pregnancy and prompt evaluation is needed.

Can't tell: There are no clear identifying features of bleeding that will indicate either.  Have a pregnancy test done to confirm.  Pregnancy tests are very accurate.
