Prednisone overdose: An overdose occurs when an excessive / dangerous dose of a drug / substance is used. "Symptoms of corticosteroid overdose can include:  Altered mental status with agitation (psychosis), Burning or itching skin, Convulsions, Deafness, Depression, Dry skin, 
High blood pressure, Increased infection risk, Muscle weakness, Nausea &amp; vomiting, Nervousness, Sleepiness, Stopping of menstrual cycle &gt;&gt;&gt;

Unlikely to overdose: Best bet is you did not sleep.  We use doses of methyprednisolone or Dexamethasone at doses equivalent to 1000mg of Prednisone by IV administration to treat severe flares in lupus, or to sometimes treat vasculitis. I doubt you took so much.

Nothing: side effects of prednisone if given short term should resolve within 7-10 days.

Not recommended. : Steroids make the body fight a disease process but also makes it easier to develop an ulcer of the stomach. 
Would not do this while taking prednisone

250 is OK: 250 for a short time on prednisone is usually nothing to worry about.  Any change in sugar levels which causes you symptoms is a concern.  If you are not able to drink enough fluids to keep up with the amount you loose in urine then your sugar levels require treatment.  If you run over 400 there is a higher risk of acid buildup or dehydration.  Over 600 the risk goes much higher

TMJ - Prednisone: Tmj disorders are about tooth grinding or alterations in bite, except in uncommon circumstances such as jaw trauma from boxing or a car wreck. Anything that relieves inflammation in the joint is helpful. Prednisone is helpful for tmj, but should not be used on a regular basis, as many side effects are common with long term use of steroids. Go see your dentist, if pain persists.

Prednisone is generally safe when used for short periods of time, but can cause side effects such as increased hunger and insomnia. Protein: The pancreas is a large gland in your upper abdomen, behind your intestine and stomach, which produces enzymes to digest foods, particularly carbohydrate and fats. The two main enzymes are amylase and lipase, and levels of these two chemicals can be measured in your blood when you have pancreatitis. So to your question, a high protein diet may be the best choice when your pancreatitis is active.

my husband is 32 years old with left sided exopthalmos, he is on medication of tapazole (methimazole) 5mg a day? does he need to take again prednisone and how long?

Possibly: It sounds like your husband has graves disease.  Taking tapazole (methimazole) controls the thyroid level but does not affect his eyes if the exophthalmos is due to graves disease.  Prednisone can be helpful if there is a lot of inflammation associated with his eyes.  This needs to be evaluated by an ophthalmologist with expertise in graves eye disease, typically a neuro-ophthalmologist.
