Fast - no.: This is a reasonable medicine to help with weight loss.  It is a starch blocker, and inhibits Alpha glucosidase, an intestinal enzyme that releases glucose from larger carbohydrates.  But, fast weight loss is only temporary.  Be patient and make a real change.

Weight loss: Weight loss is generally a good idea but in my opinion weight loss is best attained if you eat correctly and exercise regularly.
If you loose weight rapidly you are likely to gain it back rapidly, so slow weight loss is much better. 
How much to loose in a week - tough call. Start with 1/2 to 1 pound a week but don't overdo it.

To a slight: extent although precose (acarbose) is more for controlling blood sugar. Whatever you do, it must be combined with dietary restriction and increased physical activity. Unfortunately, between the fecal leakage sometimes seen with orlistat and the flatulance with precose (acarbose), you may be a social outcast.

Yes, but the combo: May require stringent toilet habits.  Gas a diarrhea can occur!

Not Exactly: What is passed genetically from parent to child is the propensity to develop atopy (such as eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergies) but usually not sensitization to specific allergens which the parent is allergic to.  The exception, which is a controversial topic, is drug allergies, but this is usually dependent on metabolism of the drug which is inherited rather than the allergy.

Sometimes: But not all the time. Nasal allergies are not a frequent cause of a really bad persistent cough. In a child with allergies and a really bad cough (assuming no fever) I would be concerned about a reactive airway/asthma type condition. If the child also had eczema I would be even more concerned.

No: The condition of being allergic is certainly an inherited property.  Often, that tendancy is greater in children whose biological mother has allergies.  However, specific allergy is generally not thought to be inherited.  That is, a parent can be allergic to food, and their children allergic to pollen or insect stings.

Lots of Stiuff: Fortified soy milk for beginners.  Dark leafy greens like spinach, kale, turnips, and collard greens. Fortified orange juice. Sardines. Enriched breads, grains, and waffles.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Just please give the medication according exactly to the dosing and weight guidelines on the package. The allergy medicine is an antihistamine. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and anti-pyretic (fever reducer) medication.

Accepted Answer

Hereditary: The ability to have allergies is hereditary.  If one parent has allergy, there is about a 40% chance of the child having allergy. If both parents are allergic, the chances increase to about 70%.  Allergy also requires exposure to an "allergen", like pollen, dust mite, molds or animals.  So if there is no exposure, no symptoms occur.
