Post nasal drip: A scratchy throat may be related to having post nasal drip. If you have chance in appearance of mucosa or your voice has changed - evaluation would be prudent.

feeling of food stuck in one spot of throat. worse when i swallow and sometimes tingly. i have a history of anxiety and runny nose with post nasal drip comes and goes. what are the odds of this being throat cancer in a 34 year old female non-smoker?

for many yrs used face wash that had triclosan in it.am i at more risk of nasal/throat cancer?sometimes got in mouth and in nose from washing face.

Stop worrying: Trislosan is a widely-used, apparently harmless chemical that degrades after being discarded into a form of dioxan that is not one of the forms that has toxicity or is supposed to be linked to cancer. Any chemical can be "shown to be harmful for this-and-that" if used in artificial conditions in labs. I am sorry that anyone troubled you over this.

i have a throat have feels like i have something in there and it prevents me from breathe sometimes can this be a sign of throat cancer or anxiety throat? but i can still breathe from my nose perfectly fine?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

Possibly: Symptoms of throat cancer do include a sore throat that doesn't go away as well as occasional bleeding. Although throat cancer is not common in a young person who has never smoked, it is becoming more frequent due to human papilloma virus (HPV). There are other conditions that can cause similar symptoms, but any sore throat that persists for months should certainly be evaluated by an ENT doctor.

Smoking risk: As you know, smoking increases your risk of cancer and many other diseases and dysfynctions.  However, it is very unlikely that you have cancer from smoking after being a light smoker for only one year.  Your symptoms are most likely related to an infection such as a common cold.  To reduce your risk of smoking related illnesses, you should stop smoking permanently.

went to ent and got camera up my nose doc said no throat cancer but couod they miss it 5 months agony throat sore to eat and drink ever hursts turning head docter admits back of throat is red and purple and something not right but cant find anythin?

GERD and ovarian ca: This time of year sore throat is pretty std fair.  Reflux with heart burn is extremely common...try taking an otc antacid for two weeks .  If this doesn't help or change your symptoms call your doctor.
