Over the counter antihistamines, hydro cortisone creams, calamine lotion... All help the itching. Also heat makes the itch worse, cold compresses lessen the itch. If it is widespread, near the eyes. Or more severe see your doctor. The longer the opoison ivy oilsare in contact with the skin the worse the rash.

Depends on the rash: The odds are good that you have poison ivy if a) you were exposed to poison ivy and b) you are allergic (like most people) to poison ivy. It is impossible to me to guess if your rash is poison ivy without seeing pix of it. Whatever rash you have, go to your doctor to have it looked at. They might prescribe topical medicine or steroid pills to help.

As early as 6 hours: In severe cases of poison ivy/oak/summac, topical steroids may not work too well because of the blistering/fluid which reduces the absorption, so you may be given oral form. Oral Prednisone is very well absorb and can start taking effect as early as 6 hours. Calamide may help dry it out a bit quicker. The best treatment is prevention--learn your poisons and avoid them. Consult doc. Good luck.

Yes: Never pop blisters caused for any reason. There's a reason your body created them. And the pus is the reaction. You've now caused a skin infection and most likely, caused a permanent scar where you popped it. You need to clean the area with gentle, non-perfumed soap and water. Then you need to see a doctor for evaluation and possible antibiotics.

Variable: Pretty much everyone will have redness but others can have vesicles and frank blistering. The more sensitive you are to the resin the more brisk a reaction one will typically have.

: Poison Ivy breakouts are an allergic reaction to the Ivy plant serum. The breakout develops many hours after exposure. If he washed his exposed area at any point after exposure it would remove the serum. The reaction is not passed by skin-to-skin contact or by fluid oozing from the rash, only from the Ivy serum. If he never washed it off, it could transfer during sex &amp; you may react to it.

Scrub your nails,: and see your doctor. You may need oral steroids or stronger topicals, and soak in aluminum acetate to dry out blisters

Agree w Dr. Gabor: Reasons for missed/late periods: low body weight, obesity, marked weight ^ or v, over-exercise, endurance athletics, breast-feeding, ^ stress, illness, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), anovulatory cycle (no egg released), travel, hormone irregularities, drug use, meds (i.e., birth control) or medical problems (i.e. Pcos). #1 reason is pregnancy.
