Fever 100 F: You can give tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever as directed for weight on the packaging, but the fever isn't high enough at 100 degrees F to do damage and may help kill viral pathogens. You can also dress the baby in cotton lightweight clothing or give a lukewarm sponge bath. If the symptoms continue, please take your baby to see the pediatrician or family physician.

See a physician: Unless you've been eating something red, like beets, the concern is that you are bleeding. Please seek evaluation by a physician as soon as possible, as this could be associated with serious conditions.

Stomach Pain: It would be wise to consult a Gastroenterologist in order to perform an Endoscopy that way you know for sure and get the proper treatment. Omeprazole does not work in everyone. Besides if you have a bacteria known as Helicobacter Pylorii you need a full course of antibiotics since this bacteria is associated with ulcer and stomach cancer

Heartburn, sore thro: Seems like  being  treated for reflux/GERD which is common and an infection smz/tmp covers strep /staph and a number of other agents. Reflux is not normally life threatening and is very common.  Would also discuss if the reflux could be related to H pylori and get treated for that if so.elevate head of bed when asleep Avoid alcohol, smoking ,energy drinks ( which do cause problems) f/u/ w/ doc

Hemorrhoid?: Some causes of painful defecation include hemorrhoids, anal fissures, rectal masses, rectal abscesses, or herpetic ulcers.  Best to check it out with the doctor!

What was recommended: It is difficult to say what to try as you did not mention what was recommended already.  Apple or prune juice 4-6 ounces (120-180 ml)  daily can help to soften stools. Check in with your doctor as your son's hard stools have not resolved.

So many options...: Your described stool frequency, at once a week, deserves evaluation. 1st, you are taking constipating medication--ask your prescribing doctor to re-visit amitriptyline. 2nd, if no tests have been yet accomplished, see a GI doctor to rule out metabolic disease (e.G hypothyroidism), partial obstruction, inflammation, anatomic defects (check colon), functional problem (e.G hirschprung's, etc.), more.

my grandson who is 22 months old has an iron level of 8. just diagnosed and put on iron drops should i panic he eats nothing but seems happy and healthy. he poops only every 5-7 days since birth, doc says that's just him, but i'm worried

8 not super low: 8 is low, but not critical.  Try iron from other sources, such as green leafy veggies and watermelon.  Put the drops in his milk and he will never know.  Do your best, and try lean beef or liver in a tasty recipe. They don't eat much at that age. Leave high iron snacks around, and fortified cereals to much on in a baggie.
