See below: If you mean to diagnosis diabetes, then no.  They will look at the urine for gucose and ketones, and the blood for elvated glucose. And, depending upon how sick the child is, there maybe many more tests.

No. : Polyuria is the production of large amounts of dilute urine & polydipsia is elevated fluid intake; usually due to fluid losses from polyuria. These are just symptoms of a disorder & several different disease processes can cause this, with diabetes a common & important one. Diabetes is diagnosed by testing blood sugar levels. Other more rare causes are diabetes insipidus & psychogenic polydipsia.

Medical  exam: could be anxiety; however, get checked for any underlying medical/surgical conditions. Also get a fasting blood sugar, urine analysis and HgbA1c.

Probably Not: If your TSH is 1.51, then you are not hyperthyroid.  I would see your doctor and ask him to evaluate you in person - he will probably want to order labs to rule out diabetes, which can cause weight loss and polyuria.  If you have underlying anxiety, that can cause your tremors and insomnia.  Find a doctor you are comfortable with and make an appt.

Classic causes: But many patients have taken to consuming large amounts of water due to perception that this is valuable for their health.  Diabetes mellitus may be another explanation.  An internist is ideal to figure this out.

: Hyper glycemia is one of the causes though not a very frequent cause of frequency. I think you are worrying too much, If you have family history of Diabetes and also can't stop worrying have your MD do a blood sugar and urine sugar test. I think you will be fine.

HIgh sugar: Your diabetes is out of control. Get to an er as soon as possible and get started on insulin. If you are on oral agents for diabetes, they are not longer effective. If you are on insulin, you need to get your doses of Insulin revised upward. You are in a very dangerous situation with your symptoms of frequent urination and weight loss.

More testing: I'm assuming that was a fasting glucose.  There may be other testing your doctor would do.  You need a complete physical and lab evaluation.

Weight loss but eat: 29 male losing wt despite eating like a pig &amp; peeling a lot. Notes more likely adrenal failure or CA and what kind? Neither would be my first guess  Because u like to do self diagnosis 1st recommendation is to  taste your urine to see if it is sweet. If so U have have diabetes. U may prefer to check blood glucose. Consider: Diarrhea, Malabsorb, Thyrotoxic, HIVAIDS, TBC,  Addison's very rare.
