Poison ivy: You cannot spread poison ivy rash by scratching.  Poison ivy is a haptin meaning a small molecule.  It must bind skin tissue to form an allergic reaction.  Once it binds to skin, poison ivy does not come off so it can not be transferred to you or another person. Poison ivy rash is contracted by contact with the oil, urushiol.

Best to wash clothes, shower well, and then do a tick check... after coming out of the woods.

See a doctor ASAP. Be sure that all items potentially exposed be cleaned with a laundry detergent (wear glove if you are doing it) to avoid further exposure to the resin.

Seeing a doctor is highly recommended because oral steroids for about 3 weeks in a tapering course will dramatically improve this condition in a few days.  Topical soaks to dry the blisters is also helpful.  Good luck.
