No: No plantar warts do not become general words. You do not get genital warts from contact with another person with plantar warts.

Two FDA vaccines protect against 16 and 18 and when administered before infection, can reduce the risk of cancer

It may spread...: ...But not because of a bath or water. You may bathe and clean your feet as you normally would, without fear of causing the warts to spread. They do, however, occasionally spread of their own accord. Only treatment to remove the warts will stop them from spreading.

Dermatologist: can advise you on this.  It could be removed with laser.  However, you are using salicylic acid.  After you use it, and it is dry, apply duct tape and leave it on until loose, then replace.  Some plantar warts might be cured this way without seeing a doctor.

canthridin application with salicylic acid
aldara cream
immunotherapy
laser rx/surgery.

Not warts!: Yes, you can definitely get athletes foot on one or two toes. It's usually under toes that don't get completely dry after showering. Warts are hard, thick areas without liquid inside. What you describe sounds more like athletes foot. An over-the-counter antifungal cream might help.
