Not really: Using Plan B tends to cause irregular periods, often causing the period to come earlier.  If the period is late check a pregnancy test, since occasionally Plan B fails.

: Plan B is an emergency contraceptive that contains high levels of hormones which, taken after unprotected sex, prevents ovulation and also prevent fertilized embryo's from implanting in your uterus. The high hormone levels disrupt your menstrual cycle and can cause irregular bleeding. This can be as little as spotting or discharge or as much as a full period.

Yes it does.: Planb belongs to post coital contraceptive methods when taking high dose oral Progesterone with or without estrogen combination prevents pregnancy.  It works by preventing fertilized egg from implanting into uterine lining.  However it's efficacy is not 100% but probably about 85% and must be used within 48-72 hours after the unprotected sex.

Hopefully: Plan b works most effectively when taken immediately after unprotected intercourse. And it's mechanism is to prevent ovulation. That's if you've already ovulated, Plan B is not very effective at preventing pregnancy.  The Progesterone in  Plan B can make the environment for sperm less hospitable, but for prevention of pregnancy it's very limited.

Plan B: Plan B decreases the risk of pregnancy by about 70%. TAke a pregnancy test about 2 weeks after using it to confirm that it worked

Should work fine: Plan B can be taken on any day of a woman's cycle, so that a woman does not have to think about which day of her cycle it is. Plan B works most of the time, but not all of the time. One should do a home urine pregnancy test 3 weeks after sex. Also, use reliable forms of birth control so that Plan B will rarely be needed (hopefully never) in the future.

: You appear to be using Plan B as a regular form of contraception, something that it is not intended for. Conventional contraception is what is needed. Late periods can be due to a number of different factors. Have you taken a pregnancy test? If not, do so.
