LE edema: Seek immediate medical attention in an ER. It could be a clot in your leg  or can be a mass(growth) in your abdomen/pelvis(ovary colon) compressing your veins, right heart disease/ emphysema  with liver issues or just liver issues . You need to follow up  immediately  in the  an ER ( so appropriate imaging can be done emergently) .

25yo my calves, ankles and feet stay swollen w pitting edema. been to er twice and 2 docs. all tests normal. what can cause this and what can i do?

Go to primary care: With your history i would want to make sure that they did urine tests to make sure that there is no protein in your urine. A urinalysis is the initial test done in most cases. An er is often not the best place to get this evaluated and you may be better off seeing a primary care physician who will decide if you need further referrals. Would also consider getting thyroid checked.

See a doctor: Liver, heart, and kidney disease (amongst other things) can cause this. You need an evaluation.

: Many things, such as a clot, poor lymph flow, neurogenic weakness. See your doctor , I am not sure if this is urgent.

i have pitting edema in my ankle and foot after an agressive bee sting...should i worry?

Tricky Bees-ness.: You should be cautiously concerned. Apply a towel wrapped ice bag to the sting area. Make sure the stinger is out and clean the sting site with soap and water. Ibuprofen might help with the pain and inflammation. If there is a history of this type of reaction with bee stings, then be prepared to deal with any escalation of symptoms by visiting the urgent care.

12d s/p 2nd deg atfl ankle sprain.  still 2+ pitting edema entire foot dorsum, not just ankle. elevating helps a bit. why circulation issue? what 2do?

Swelling: Your injury is still in the early stages of healing.  Persistent swelling lasting for weeks is expected.  You should elevate the ankle when possible to help decrease the swelling.  You should also try to move the ankle around periodically as long as you can stand the pain.  This will help you regain range of motion sooner and with less problems.  Icing the ankle should also help to fight swelling.

i have pitting edema and a bad achy pain with bad spasms and charlie horses in my right foot and ankle. it hurts so bad that it's giving me panic attacks. what should i do?

Edema: Ankle swelling in just one leg of nuance it should be worked up. There could be many causes like blood clots any obstruction inside abdomen.  See a doctor.
