have been constipated lately and when i went to the toilet my stool had this pale pink stringy stuff in it like it was a piece of meat stuck to it. should i be concerned?

: Unclear from the description if it was food or blood. But to avoid constipation which  can cause hemorrhoids would drink plenty of fluids  2-3 liters per day more if exercising and very hot / humid,  Drink half water half Gatorade so you do not dilute the sodium in your body Eat high fiber foods, greens, avocados, strawberries, blueberries, lentils, oats.  Would check thyroid . F/u/ w/ MD

do i have tape worm ? worried to death . white pebbles looking stuff in my poop . i dont have other symptoms. but i saw it and now im afraid . do senna kill parasites ? . i did not eat anything with seeds . please help?

: This isn't tapeworm. If not something you ate, then pinworm is the most likely parasite. Pinworm is common and not too dangerous if treated. It usually causes itching around the anus because that's where they lay their eggs. It's more likely if you have a child but can occur in anyone and everyone in the house should be treated. Your doc can prescribe several treatments or Pyrantel pamoate is OTC.

Could be nothing: Or could be a sign of inflammation /ibd or ibs or infection in your colon, anal fissures, remnants of food particles etc. Go see your dr for reassurance ! (pls read link below).

Might be hemorrhoids: You might have hemorrhoids causing these symptoms, but there are other considerations.  Hemorrhoids can bleed and either diarrhea, straining, constipation, hard stools can set it off. However since it's persisting you should probably be seen by your physician for an evaluation.  Good luck.

See a doctor: Blood in the stool is not normal. It suggests there may be a bleed somewhere in the GI tract but this could be anywhere from your mouth with blood you are swallowing, to your stomach due to an ulcer, to an internal or external hemorrhoid. A physician will be able to examine your stool, and take a complete history to determine which tests and necessary to determine the cause of bleeding.

Colitis?: Is this new?  Any fevers?  And what's the consistency - normal or loose?  This could be an infection if new, or an inflammatory bowel condition if more chronic.

Lab: this sounds like dietary fiber mixed with mucous; however, I would suggest a stool analysis and culture for parasites if you are not certain.

Pregnancy: Pregnancy is a common cause of many changes in bowel habits. There is nothing wrong with you. You may take fiber laxative to facilitate bowel movement.
