might be a pinched nerve or muscle spasm. bottom of my lower back waist line. cant stand straight have to walk pushing out. more than likely pinched nerve. been putting heating pad. what else can i do? it hurts bad

Depending on ...: Depending on how the symptoms first began; if one strained, pushed, pulled, had injury from a Fall or contact sports ... A quick evaluation by the PCP or the ER physician can make a difference between a the pain being short lived or becoming chronic.

It sounds as if you: May have impingement on sciatic nerve if going down the posterior leg.  The pain u feel is a muscle spasm. This can interrupt blood flow to a site of inflammation that is actually causing the spasm.  It's circular.  Whether your stimulator in this area will relieve the spasm is hard to say also the nerve may be impinged further up. It's worth a shot, back pain is tough. Make sure sleeping at night.

Varies: Muscle spasms are usually a temporary phenomenon; however if u have a significant  nerve entrapment muscle spasms can last weeks. See your physician for treatment options w/ referral to a qualified orthopedist if no improvement for definitive diagnosis . Best of luck!

Nerve impingement: Of the neck is a very common problem, affecting about 10-12% percent of the adult population in the us. Nerve impingement can be caused by being sandwiched between two spinal bones, pressed by a bulging disc or encroached upon by bony overgrowth.  It can cause severe vision impairment and muscle spasms. Rec.: see an interventional pain management specialist for further investigation.

Lot of possibilities: With hypothyroidism, muscle spasm would be a good first bet, causing pain, and possibly causing associated rib or joint distortion.  Nerve pinch is more likely to have more specific symptoms.  If it is in the flank area, then kidney pain could be involved.  Evaluation to remove variables and localize the problem is advisable.

Inflammation: They react to anything inflammatory, like infection or injury. So even though they may not be reacting to the spasmed muscle, they may be reacting to the cause of the spasm, whatever that may be.

No: There are multiple medications we use for muscle spasticity to varying degrees of help including flexeril, zanaflex, soma, baclofen, Valium, and skelaxin (metaxalone) just to name a few.  Discuss directly with your doctor what would be best for you.
