Buckwheat pillow: can help. Like a bean bag chair it holds its shape better than a chiropractic pillow. Plus moisture cause the buckwheat to deform creating air channels. This keeps the pillow nice and cool. I used one when I hurt my neck playing volley ball. The downside is they are quite heavy. (you'll want to take it on the plane if you travel) I recommend getting a new mattress for the back (firm memory foam)

i got a pinched nerve in my arm, loads of resting pain, can't get much sleep.  feek fine during work and training.  what have caused this? what helps?

Herniated discs: Herniated discs in the neck (cervical spine) can cause pain, numbness, or weakness in the neck, shoulders, chest, arms, and hands. In some cases a very large herniated disc in the neck may cause weakness or unusual tingling affecting other parts of the body, including the legs.

my pinched nerve in my elbow is bothering my sleep making me sit a certain day. i have cancer i sit and lie down a lot and end up shifting around .?

Ulnar neuropathy: This could be results of the cervical disc impingement, an ulnar neuropathy or a tennis elbow.

Keep at it...: What you're describing sounds like what's typically called "sciatic" pain. If the pain/tingling is radiating down the leg, but your strength is preserved, then I'd recommend continuing what you're doing. With some medications, it should resolve itself over the next few weeks to months. If you have any weakness in your leg/foot, I'd recommend urgent MRI.

i have a pinched nerve in my hip and i have the feeling that i need to poo but i can't is this related maybe the inflammation of the hip is affecting it im in a lot of pain and this just adds discomfort i can't sleep at all what can i do about this?

: You just have to take ibuprofen or motrin OTC 2-3 tablets every 6 hours as needed with some foods for a day or two. In general, pinched nerve or joint pain should ease up after a couple days.

Maybe: It sure sounds like a nerve in your finger or hand or even in your spine is being compromised. Your best bet "so to speak" its to make an appointment with your family physician soon.

saw a bit of a bright light at night in right eye . doesn't happen frequently . i don't get much sleep .  happened one other occasion near right eye. (have pinched nerve & astigmatism in right  eye) ?

May be benign: pressure on the eye can cause this, as well as changes in the retina, and migraines.  It is not likely that your other conditions caused this.  If your sight is ok, no need for alarm.

have odd feel in left shoulder/arm for week like pinched nerve or something w/ tingling & sleep feel. heart feels normal. would it hurt to take motrin?

No: You can take a Motrin to see if it helps, as long as you have been told not to take medications such as Motrin. Even though Motrin might help, it would be wise to see a doctor to give a full history and to get a full physical exam to figure out what is causing the pain. Best of luck!
