It happens: The location  gives rise to a few concerns. It could be  a simple superficial abscess related to an inflamed hair root.It could also be  a more serious problem related to a fistula (tract) connected deep inside and originating from the colon.I would have the kid evaluated.

Moluscum contagiosum: And a lot of other specific dermatologic conditions fit this description. The best way to know for sure, is to have it examined by a dr/dermatologist.

Peri-rectal issue: OK..well..something like this could be just that..a pimple.  But..it could be the start of a peri-rectal or peri-anal abscess.  A pilonidal cyst is not out of the question either.  If it does not resolve in the next week, or grows in size, or starts expressing pus or becomes more painful then you should see your primary and probably have a colo-rectal surgeon evaluate you.

thrombosed hemorrhoi: Most likely a thrombosed hemorrhoid though other possibilities exist. After that many days, it may require 'lancing'.

Need more info: If you are sexually active you need to be tested. Otherwise what looks like a pimple, probably is and would be mildly tender. It would also more likely be adjacent to the anus as opposed to right on it and would erupt and resolve over a week or two. If it's nontender and solid its more likely a wart such as HPV. See a doc if its there longer than a month. Warm compresses or sitz baths would help.

Possible infection: While it may be nothing serious .... There is the possibility that there is an underlying anal infection (abscess) ... Possibly cause by an anal fistula (small connection into the anus).
Try a protective ointment - like anusol - and warm baths with epsom salts.
However, if it persists, do see a proctologist who can properly diagnose your condition.

Rash : The rash may be due to impetigo because of poor personal hygiene when wiping youself when you go to the washroom. Apply an antibiotic ointment to the rash. If not better in. Few days consult your doctor.

I : I know you feel uncomfortable, but you have to realize as doctor's we look at rectum's and other private areas of our patients on a daily basis.This is what we do. Also, you should put your health and well being over any embarrassment you may have or anticipate having. The bump could be a large hemorrhoid, wart, herpes lesion, cancer, abscess, etc. The only way to know is by having your doctor examine you.
I really hope you do the right thing and see your doctor.

Get checked: They could be caused by warts, herpes, or bacterial infection.
