what could cause wollen joints, and calluses/bumps on fingers?

Many possibilities: Joint swelling is a sign of inflammation. If chronic , it can be related to a systemic cause such as autoimmune disorders (lupus), or age-related degenerative cause (osteoarthritis). If is is self-limited, a minor injury may be the cause. Calluses are caused by chronic pressure. 
"bumps" could be anything but may indicate  chronic joint disease.  See your physician for evaluation.

Between a bone and..: A toe joint callus is an area of hardened or callused skin formation immediately over one of many joints formed by toe bones. The callus can be found on the top, bottom or either side of the toe. It is typically caused by pressure being applied to the skin's surface between the underlying bones and an overlying shoe, floor or even another toe. Left untreated, the callus can become  
a problem.

: It very well could be the cause of your pain. The callus is a response to pressure from shoes. The callus will form cause pain as it increase in size. Callus is a response to pressure. Take away pressure , callus will not comeback. Try changing shoes.

Scar: It probably is scar/fibrous tissue, but could be a wart or foreign body. If it gets larger, red or hurts, i would get it checked.

Dry skin: Could be psoriasis or callus sing from repetitive use. Your doctor can tell.

Varies: The number varies but it is usually between2 and 4 different views. The number of x-rays and the specific views depends upon the reason for the study.

Hard to say: we are unable to access pictures in this format. If you have a cyst or a wart on your finger, A general surgeon could possibly remove it for you. Please have your family doctor refer you to a surgeon for further evaluation and treatment.

Tried Epidural?: Epidural Steroid Injections can be quite helpful for spinal stenosis and DDD.  If already tried, maybe stem cell therapy is an option for you, check out Regenexx.Com.  Last Resort is surgery but that is an option as well.
