: For constipation take an OTC laxative and a diet with fiber and roughage and some excersize daily. Re your period pl see your doctor for cause

do emergency physicians always work on a trauma team?

Accepted Answer

Usually: In most cases, the surgeon led trauma team features emergency medicine specialists. They add their broader based skills (e.g. Medical management of other diseases) while the surgeon provides technical skills. In some trauma centers, there is no em doctor at the major trauma alerts, however they still play a role in identifying patients with very subtle signs of serious  injury. Actually harder!

i work in a store where the city and our store mandates masks to be worn. i have had many customers claim that they are not allowed to wear masks due to certain medical conditions. is this true? are there times a physician would instruct this?

Not really: Of course for some patients wearing a mask may create some discomfort and they should avoid getting out in the first place. Wearing a mask is a public health issue, more than a personal one and unfortunately not everybody is ready to sacrifice their own sense of well being for public safety. Specifically patients with asthma or anxiety disorders may feel worsening of their symptoms when using mask

Both: It doesn't matter.  What matters is the person's skills, knowledge, personality, bedside manner, and teamwork.

is there a way for a patient to work with both a chinese and western medical doctor at the same time?

Accepted Answer

Yes: More western medical doctors are receiving training in integrative and holistic medicine and may be knowledgeable about and therefore more comfortable with collaborating with healers of other traditions.  The university of arizona integrative fellowship is one such training program for mds another resource is the american board of integrative and holistic medicine.

recertifying as personal trainer- how can trainers work with physicians to get training costs offset by client's insurance?

Good luck...: It is all about politics. Our physician fees are being cut quite a lot. You have the PT association that is making it more difficult for you. My advise, may have to get your PT degree. Check your state society and see what they suggest.

Yes and no: You can see a Gyn for women's health  issues but likely would need a Primary Care Physician for other common ailments

No: Physicians may work in settings outside of a hospital and prescribe controlled substances.

whats the difference in work and knowledge between that of physician assistant vs. physicians?

Accepted Answer

PA: Physicians get a very comprehensive education, they need to go through undergrad, then 4 years of medical school then at least 3 years of residency training and they need to take different national boards.Physician assistants get the undergrad degree and do Master's degree and they need to practice under physicians supervision. They are called mid-level practitioners as well.

District attorney: Pathologists who do forensic autopsies do not work for the district attorney. Our job in this capacity is to be totally objective. If we find a homicide, we work with law enforcement to help with justice. We're called forensic pathologists, general pathologist can do forensic work, or other physicians (forensic dentists, PhD's in various forensic studies) can help as well -- even insect specialist
