See your doc: Sounds  like it will not get better without arthroscopic surgery. See your ortho for an evaluation. He/she will probably recommend surgery. Conservative treatment can help decrease the pain but will not resolve the problem. Good luck!

: Your question got cut off…. Our majority of weight bearing is centered on our inner knee, the medial meniscus. If you have pain with walking and instability, you run the risk of further injury. I refer my patients to physical therapy for rehab and orthopedics for surgery

reconstructed acl: hyperintensity seen in the proximal part with anterior tibial subluxation. can someone explain that to me?

Reinjury?: The acl tethers the tibia to the femur preventing it from sliding forward in certain positions of knee bending.  Hyperintensity seen in the proximal part of the reconstructed acl means there has been an injury/tear/bleeding of the ligament where it attaches to the femur (thigh bone).  Subluxation means the tibia is sliding forward/not doing it's job.  See your ortho doc for an exam and plan.

It changes the relationships of the articulating facets which can lead to arthritis.  Assessment of the degree of instability is essential, best evaluated by a spine surgeon.

Revision : Revision surgeries are needed from time to time. Prior to considering a revision surgery you should try sleeping with an elbow extension brace at 45 degrees. I have a fellowship in hand surgery with extensive experience is peripheral nerve surgery, and have decreased the number of ulnar nerve surgeries using bracing. Discuss with your doctor the option of using medications such as Neurontin or Lyrica (pregabalin) for this together with the bracing. My personal preference is for lyrica (pregabalin).

Sympathtic dysfuncti: Horner's is a complex of eye findings-lid droop, pupillary narrowing, diminished sweating - caused by a disturbance of the sympathetic nerve supply to the eye. Almost always on one side only. Can be caused by forceps for birth, tumors in the upper chest ( usually lung cancer), vascular lesions in the neck and trauma. Some relief with proper treatment - see your neuro-ophthalmologist.

Horner's: We have meds that dilate the pupil but you have damage to the sympathetic nerve that they work on either centrally, congentially or peripherally. It is best to fix the cause if you can.
