Yeast not related: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &amp;  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

You : You may be dealing with something other than a yeast infection. The only way to know for sure is to have an evaluation by your primary care provider or gynecologist. Vaginal infections including std's will be ruled out with appropriate testing. 
The burning you experienced after he ejaculated is likely from inflammed vaginal tissue that is very sensitive right now.
On another note, you say he is a new sex partner (past 3 months) and you are obviously having unprotected sex. Did you both get tested for std's and decide to be in a monogamous relationship prior to having unprotected sex? If not, this is very important to do if you are going to have unprotected sex with someone. 
Also you need to be on some type of birth control if your plan is not to become pregnant. There are many options, please discuss with your doctor.

Pregnancy is #1 reason.
