Stomach: Avoid aspirin/ibuprofen etc, alcohol and try some over the counter omeprazole. Sounds like a gastritis cause unknown.

Depends: Obesity, carbonated drink contributes. Keeping head end of the bed elevated, avoiding recumbent posture for one hr after full stomach, cutting down on hot, spicy, sour food will help. Stress has to be controlled. 3-6m of these usually cures. Hope you have been tested for H Pylori &amp; you are negative.

Does the peppermint: candy contain sugar or sugar substitutes?  That's more the issue.  Sugar increases health risks and sugar substitutes are typically toxic to the brain.  You are better off snacking on nuts, pumpkin seeds, etc.  Peace and good health.

GERD: I would talk to my Doctor about a different medication if yours is NT helping.  But the candies alone are probably not bad.

Interesting!: If it's the peppermint flavor that helps, consider natural peppermint and peppermint tea.  Usually peppermint calms the stomach. Also consider seeing a therapist about your anxiety. There are many simple techniques that help reduce anxiety: various breathing exercises, meditation, energy tapping, physical exercise, etc.
