Blood Clots & Penis: This common condition a blood clot or thrombosis in the penis can be very disconcerting. It can change the shape of your penis and can be very painful.  Infections can occur which can complicate this situation.

Time and leaving the penis alone can lead to the blood clot re-absorbing.  If the clot is painful; or the shape of the penis is changing, or with any other acute worry please see your doc.

: I hope you mean thrombosis of the superficial dorsal vein which can be easily seen . If so it will gradually harden- cord like and very gradually become smaller. masturbation while having it is not a good idea as it may delay healing.

Blocking blood flow: Use of "cock rings" , cords, or other types of  devices that  block the flow of blood through the vein for a prolonged   time is the most probable cause.  There are also blood clotting disorders such as anti cardiolipin antibodies that iincrease  the risk of clotting.  Inflammation from an infection can also cause clotting/thrombosis.

BLood Clot in Penis: A thrombosis in the shaft of a penis can be painful. It usually, however, with time will reabsorb and cause no troubles.

But, if in the healing process the shape of the penis begins to change you should be seen urgently at a good urologist's office.

Mondor's Disease: Probable thrombosed dorsal vein of penis or superficial venous thrombophlebitis. Should not be a problem, not like deep vein thrombosis of leg or coronary thrombosis. Commonest causes are masturbation or excessive sex. Penile swelling should settle down in time. This should not be confused with priapism, which is an erection which fails to go away & can be due to internal penile vessel thrombosis.

: No, there is no association between Mondor's disease and systemic venothrombotic disease such as APS, protein C&amp;S deficiency, etc. Past history of Mondor's disease is not relevant to your current health.
