See below : Many various types of food and beverages can cause the urine to have a distinct odor especially when the urine is darker and more concentrated. Coffee, and its various metabolites, is one of the more common causes. Other than the distinct odor, of no concern of harm.

Ketones: Urine that contains ketones, which accumulate in people who have diabetes.  You should see your doctor as soon as possible to determine if you have diabetes.

GET IT CHECKED: Your urine usually has no odor,but sometimes it is Ammonia which is breakdown from Urea excreted in urine
Smell can be due to infection and can be due to Diabetese dehydration or due to meds/VITAMINS
Drink lot of fluids and if it still smells of Chlorine have a urine test done
Other symptoms like pain while voiding,any medicine or Vitamin or supplement can also be the cause of Chlorine like smelL

Urine odor: Generally speaking, we don't necessarily have to be concerned about the odor of our baby's urine. In the absence of any other symptoms (ie: fever, vomiting, poor feeding, irritability), there is no cause for concern. The best test of course is a urine sample obtained via catheter to be sent for urinalysis and culture. But, as mentioned above, in the absence of any other symptoms, no action is nece.

Dehydration or other: Brandi, Drink a lot of water (at least one glass an hour) for the rest of the day.  Catch a little of the urine in a clear jar after you've done this for 4 hrs.  If it is clear, it is probably not an infection even if it smells strange.  If you shake the jar and the bubbles are yellow, you should get checked, especially if your skin is at all yellow or the whites of your eyes or under your tongue.

The cough and temp could just be viral etiology, and the urine odor could be from slight dehydration, but best to have exam and establish DX.

Do not ignore it: Do not ignore these symptoms. They could be related to a urinary tract infection which can be simply treated with an antibiotic. See your doctor and get a urine analysis test.
