Lymph nodes: Are much easier to feel on children than adults.  If it is not tender, is mobile and doesn't get any larger then don't worry.  If he recently had some type of infection of the scalp, ear, noes or throat then really don't worry.  Normal response.

Get evaluated - now.: Any new lump on the testicle must be taken seriously. Testicular cancer can occur in young men. His doctor will likely order an ultrasound evaluation. If it is a cancer, it is likely to be highly treatable - so long as one acts quickly to get evaluation and treatment. Lumps in Scrotum: This is very common reason men come in to be seen.  First, testicular cancer is found in younger men. After about age 32 you are not at risk of this anymore.  Second, the most common reason for lumps in the scrotum are scar tissues from injuries while growing up.  These scars often called varicoceles are at risk for occasional pain if they get irritated and swell.

Hemorrhoid: The pea sized lump you feel maybe a hemorrhoid. It is not related to lose stools.  The lump is a vascular structure that can cause itching, bleeding, pain.  A surgeon can band it and remove it. There are over the counter creams in the pharmacy which may help symptoms.
You need to see a doctor who can examine the rectum and give you a diagnosis.
