Dont think so: As far as i know metformin is the only medicine for pcos that has been successfully used and shown in studies to help with weight loss. Birth control also help with symptoms but not weight loss. I would have this discussion with your ob/gyn.

Should be safe: It is felt that a person can remain contagious for several weeks after treatment has started, but by 4 months, you should be safe to go to the gym.  Your treating provider is better able to advise you.  You should not be at risk for relapse if you resume pre-treatment normal weight; becoming underweight might be a risk for relapse.

Unfortunately, no.: Losing weight is very difficult and frustrating issue for patients having pco, despite proper diet and excercise. This is due to several metabolic and hormonal factors associated with the condition. Hypothyoidism can also contribute to this problem.
