why do i panic about getting shots?

Needle phobia: Tends to run in families and many have inherited what's called a vasovagal reflex in response to fear. When they see a needle or get a shot, this triggers the vagus nerve, which widens blood vessels, slows heart rate, and drops blood pressure.  But a fear of needles is also brought on by a negative experience in a doctor or dentist's office usually before the age of 10.

Triggers from trauma: I am taking into consideration that you have " ptsd " . Conscious or unconscious triggers in life , send signals to your memory part of the brain which than anticipated ( wrongly ) that you may be in danger and tries to release " fear and flight " harmones . This in general is protective but in panic attack becomes excessive and almost paralytic . What are onset sx ? Only you can tell.

Not sure what u mean: No tests i know of--dx made by history & exclusion--if you give sodium lactate i'v to a person who is predisposed you can cause them to have a panic attack.

CBT: Cognitive behavior therapy, a very specific kind of talk therapy is the solution to this. If it doesn't work by itself, then discussing a medication as an option with a psychiatrist would be the way to go.

Best treatments is having cognitive behavioral therapy  to help patient realize their fear is not justified and if they fill out and breath slowly their symptoms disappear.  There r many medication that u can use.

Med eval.: If acute aspects fo panic are lasting for multiple days, this requires a medical evaluation. Panic symptoms normally peak within about ten minutes and subside into a base of anxiety. Rule out organic problems.

Remain calm: Depending on what test you're referring to, generally if the "control" box remains blank, the test result is not valid either because the test itself is bad or the specimen tested was in some way inadequate or done wrong.  In this situation a new test kit should be used to repeat the test.  You may be able to get a refund.  Check the instructions for more specific info.

One step at a time: Momentary calming is a good idea but you really want to discover what's going on with your eating behavior. So, deal with panic (full, deep breathing that clears out all the old air) and find a good therapist to help you understand and change your eating patterns. There are specialists, but most cbt tx can help. Don't try to fix it by purging, that only makes it worse. Don't worry, get some help.

Learn to relax your: Learn to relax your breathing. Practice when you are not having a panic attack so that when it occurs you will be prepared to use the relaxed breathing to calm yourself. At the same time remind yourself, it will pass, you are not having a heart attack or other physical problem. Therapists can teach you other relaxation techniques, too.
