Paint fumes ?: Although it is unlikely that this kind of exposure would result in harm to your pregnancy, whenever there are solvents like paint, turpentine, gasoline, etc., the area should be well ventilated, and if not, you should not spend time in such an area. See your OB provider to make sure there are no effects on the fetal growth progression.

Better to be: safe and don't inhale paint fumes, which can be very dangerous. Open windows to ventilate the area. Check with your doctor if you think you have symptoms from paint inhalation.

Accepted Answer

Maybe!: Many painting products are toxic and can potentially cause harm. Painting in a home is likely better left to other non-pregnant people.  If you must, use of a mask during painting is suggested.  Be sure the room is well ventilated during and after painting, and if possible use low-fume and rapid drying materials. 
Also, be sure to avoid direct skin contact with the paint as much as possible.

Expected : It will no kill you. But to minimize exposure you may wait a day after painting before sleeping in the room.

: Paint fumes have volatile organic oils and materials in them some of which are likely carcinogenic. It is not advisable to purposefully inhale such fumes.  You should increase the ventilation in rooms which are freshly painted to dissipate the odor.
  I do not know about impacts on height.

just moved into new office, which smells of paint/glue from the walls/cabinets. is there a long term increased health risk from this?

Unfortunately yes: These smells are caused by Volatile Organic Compounds. They have proven adverse acute and chronic effects; some are more toxic than others. Effects depend on length and degree of exposure, Levels will decrease over time. Keep windows open, get a HEPA filter, plants can remove toxins, take multivit. with extra C, eat fruits/vegetables.
