Head pain: The pain is coming from something; however, worrisome pain usually does not come and go but would steadily increase in frequency, duration, and severity. It could be tension headaches. See if massaging with your thumbs the small notches in the bone above your eye close to your nose. Massage the notch for 30 seconds when you get the pain. If it persists or increases seek medical advice.

i just found out i have lupus, i've been a smoker now im quitting i've had sharp pains in my head that come and go. no high bp tho. casoconstriction?

Doctor can evaluate: Lupus patients may get infections (because their immune systems are not working properly), and they can get vasculitis (their immune systems cause damage to their blood vessels). That means symptoms such as worrisome headaches need to be evaluated by a doctor, to see if there is something being caused or worsened by the lupus.

i have a meningomia brain tumor had it for 10 yrs. recently i've been having sharp pains in my head. they come and go should this be a concern?

Have it checked: It is reasonable to have it checked. A meningioma may change over time. See your doctor & a brain MRI would be useful. Be sure to bring your old MRI or ct for the dr to do comparison. Symptoms from a meningioma depends on its location, whether it's over the top of the brain, in the back of the head, near the pituitary gland, over the olfactory nerves, or near some other nerves or tight location.

Headaches can be : Difficult;are thet debilitating? Associated with nausea or vision changes?  Is this new? A couple of thoughts: one is insomnia and sleep related bruxism, grinding teeth at night.  Another is sinuses, try a nasal steroid if an issue.  Get eyes checked.  Some may suggest a ct if new onset or other neuro problems. Though indicated for migraines, if no solution topirimate 50 mg at night mat help.Gdluc.

Severe headaches: If this is a sudden thing today u may want to go to ur dr or er esp if any weakness, nausea, vision changes.  If it has been ongoing, one thing that pops to mind in a young man is "cluster headaches."  they happen several times a day, &lt;1 hr, severe, resolve.  Assoc w some other symptoms occas. Like eyes tearing, hearing fuzzing, but if these are new for you see your dr! work up needed.  Good luck!

Taking Xanax (alprazolam) 0.25mg, Zoloft 12.5 mg and Prilosec 20mg have not relieved your severe anxiety and head pains.
Use Music, Breathing Relaxation; Visual Imagery, Yoga, Meditation and Tai Chi.
See a Psychiatrist for diagnosis of anxiety, depression and OCD,  Have Intensive Therapy and Medication.

Head pain: Could be the jaw joint or chewing muscles. Sometimes it could be a real headache. Although you hold see a dentist to check your bite a neurologist is also a good idea.
