i have a bulge or lump above and to the right of my penis.it is about the size of a small boiled egg. there is no pain, it is neither hard nor soft, and i just noticed it this morning. it does not seem to be interfering with my ability to urinate?

: A lump of that size which happens overnight is likely a lymphocele. This is more likely if you had rough sex or masturbation in the previous night. If that is the case, then you can observe and the lump will resolve by itself by time. If that's not the case, then you should see your doctor for an exam. Good luck

: From your description, it sounds like a cyst of some sort and probably not serious -- but maybe important to get it take care of to prevent future infection.  See a doctor, ideally a urologist.

Possible: Inginual hernias commonly occur along the pathway of the spermatic cord, which runs from the abdominal wall down to the scrotum. The first sign is often pain even before there is a bulge. Your doctor can check on physical examination with the old "turn your head and cough" manuever.

No if...: How long have you noticed such bulge? If as long as what you can remember and painless, it may be just a sebaceous cyst; if in the recent past and tender for a while but lessening, it may be a thrombosed vein. Of course, without direct look and palpation, it&#x27;s hard to give a definite dx. So, if in doubt, see doc timely.

: Not possible to diagnose without exam. PL see a Urologist. In the meantime use moderate local heat to the area 2- 3 times a day. Good luck
