Pain: Sounds like degenerative cervical spine disease. See physiatrist or orthopedist. MRI and/or CT scans.

More info: The MRI and CT you speak of were of the head. Did you have a neck imaging test?
Any pinched nerves come from the neck.
Scalp tingling is another separate issue. Need labs and more information.
Neck cracking and popping is benign and self limiting.

i have a tingling/numbness in my scalp - just on the top of my head - for about 9 hours now. it's happened before several times. it's not painful.

Need some testing: You may either have a painless variant of ALLODYNIA which is typically associated with migraine types of headaches as an aura or premonitory marker and believed to be the propagator if not the consolidator for the long lengths of some episodes of migraine.  Or there could be metabolic or other structural items causing symptoms for which labs or testing need to be done.

Acne: Appears likely on description. An exam will be needed, ideally with your doc, so that a firm diagnosis is formulated and a treatment plan can be delineated with clear goals and expectations.

Shingles: You are describing what sounds like an Herpes Shingles eruption. I recommend a quick evaluation and initiation of treatment to lessen the severity and viral shedding. An antiviral medication like Valtex™ 3000mg daily is given for 7-10 days. It's best to treat within 3 days. Also any lesions near the eyelid or eye should be evaluated concurrently by an EYE MD, especially if rash is above the eye.

If you are pulling..: ...Your ponytail very tight, the traction on your hair follicles can cause pain. It could also be an injury or infection that you can't see because of its location. Someone, preferably a dermatologist, should look at it.

hi, i have been experiencing a tingling/numbing in my head above my right eye. i do have astigmatism but my glasses don't seem to help. any suggestion?

Not a glasses prob.: Astigmatism is a type of refractive error, meaning the eye is curved more steeply in one direction than another (like a football is more steeply curved across the short length and gradually curved across the long length). Lenses can be made for glasses to correct this optical error. This should not lead to symptoms of numbness or tingling.  This is probably completely unrelated to the eye.

4 a wk, have had tingling, nerve movement, twitching, tickling, parts all over face (nose, ear, cheek, temple), also top of head/scalp. suggestions?

Topical steroid: I would try a 1% Cortaid (hydrocortisone) like cream twice a day for a couple of days.  This should help--if not---please see a dermatologist.

recovering nicely from bell's palsey. just noticed a slight tingling same side top of  my head/scalp. does that mean the nerves are regenerating?

Paresthesias: May be indicative of nerve irritability associated with re-innervation and peripheral sprouting, but could instead merely be a transient event associated with new nerve fibre sensitivity.   Either way, no cause for alarm, as most likely associated with resolution of your problem, .
