Ovulation occurred: If done, progesterone levels are checked on day 21 of the cycle (7 days after ovulation) to check if ovulation occurred. A structure within the egg, the corpus luteum, normally produces progesterone. Documenting ovulation does not confirm or deny perimenopause. Typically tests are not done to confirm perimeno, but irregular periods &amp; other symptoms may suggest it. It RARELY occurs as young as 34:)

Clomiphene isn't DIY: Use of clomiphene etc to induce ovulation isn't a do-it-yourself project. You should only take this under guidance of your fertility expert.

Menopause: We no longer use symptoms to diagnose pregnancy. The symptoms are ambiguous and are the same for numerous hormonal situations.  Given your age i would doubt you are still ovulating, but if you have been sexual during your ovulation you must get a pregnancy test.  My bet would be that you are in menopause.

Yes: He or she will do an Ultrasound and bloodwork as well as exam to help delineate the cause of your symptoms.

Same as menopause: Perimenopause is the period of time when most women start to experience irregular periods and other symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings and night sweats. Menopause is not diagnosed until it has been one year without any periods. Everyone is different and some, all or even none of these symptoms may be present.

It's a several: Year period of time when estrogen secretion begins to decline, periods become irregular, symptoms such as hot flashes may begin, along with mood swings and other changes. Talk it over w/your doctor.
