Mittelschmerz: The timing is right around when most women with regular periods would ovulate: pain at this time is fairly common and is called mittelschmerz. There could be other causes in your case but you'd need a thorough history and exam to begin evaluation. Good wishes.

Well,....: That is ultimately a question that only you can answer,..in so much as if the pain is tolerable  and you are able to function "relatively" normal, than it is ok to wait.  If the pain is not bearable, it is getting worse, any fever associated with it, then se the Dr. more emergently.  Best wishes.

: It should not be related. But pl do not take any supplements without talking to your MD as the quality and veracity of their claims is questionable since they are not regulated. Periods cane occ. do that. if it recurs or is irregular again pl see your Gyn.

i am having extremely painful cramps. i have been taking 1,000mg of advill and using a hot pad but its been so bad that i have had to miss work for the last 2 days and be in bed. is there anything you can do to help me? that could ease the pain? i vitamin

Painful period: NSAID’s, SSRI’s, hormone meds, OTC meds containing diuretics, warm bath, heating pad, exercise &amp; acupuncture are excellent for PMS. Avoid caffeine, chocolate, alcohol &amp; salt. Get GYN eval to R/O underlying pathology. Consider omega- 3 fatty acids, magnesium (supplementation or through diet) or Black Cohosh with dr ok. Sipping Chamomile &amp; Green tea can dissipate pain.

Ob/gyn: You need a pregnancy test immediately and an ob/gyn consult. Could be anything from dysmenorrhea to menstrual cramps to an incomplete or threatened abortion. New strange odor always an indication for OB consult according to ACOG.
