a dark bruise sometimes forms at one of my finger joints with no apparent cause. sometimes, it's painful. it's always disconcerting.  what's going on?

More details needed: To have bruise on the top of the finger must have reason, please describe it  with  more details? The size who long it take to go away any pain with it, have any other problems health wise.

Finger pain: Try some over the counter Naproxen 500 mg two times a day with meals if you have no allergy to this medication.  If you don, t get relief in one week see you family doctor.

fingers show bone bruising and marrow edema, after 2 months now they are still swollen, extermenly painful, discolored and i am unable to bend or use them what do i do?

Be evaluated : Something is clearly not right, and the longer you go with swelling and inability to use them the harder it will be to regain function.  Make sure you are being seen by a hand specialist and have am accurate diagnosis, don't hesitate to seek a second opinion.

Unexplained bruising: Bruising for no reason can have several causes.  Some serious.  You need to be checked.  Stop the mefename for now, because it can increase bleeding/bruising.  Stop all vitamins, supplements, and over the counter meds, not okayed by your doc.  Stop alcohol and nicotine (if applicable) as ell.  Get seen this week

Sexual play: It would be very hard for your partner to be able to even reach your cervix during fingering. So , this question seems like you may be meaning something else.

Just as it sounds : You bruised you finger and hand. It will be purple and will resolve. Get x-ray if you think there is a fracture. Take tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen. Apply ice.

A bruise?: If you injured the area recently, it probably is a bruise. If not, you really need to have someone look at it in person and give you a precise diagnosis. Or at the very least, send us a photo.

had pins put in pinky finger 3 weeks ago. 2 are out and one more in 2 weeks. still have bruising and pain. how long before this goes away?

Pins in finger: Usually takes good 4-6 weeks, it should get better once your finger start working.
