Chronic Pain: I would see a specialist that deals with chronic pain.  It is difficult to say who this would be exactly.  What you need is an evaluator that will look at your husband as a person with back pain and not a back pain patient with a person attached.  This means expanding the search for the cause outside the back.  This could be a primary care physician, rheumatologist, physiatrist, pain doctor.

Tylenol if safe.: You won't become dependent on it, but you should visit your doctor to determine the cause of your pain. That it's worse when you're active during the day hints at a musculoskeletal cause; once any other possibilities like infection or pregnancy issues are ruled out, you could also try massage, acupuncture/acupressure, ice, heat, or specific stretching exercises. Low back pain ?'s:  With both tubes removed, you still have ovaries which produce estrogen, which can activate endometriosis,  and the uterus which can have fibroid tumors, both of which can cause pelvic pain.  A diagnostic laparoscopy (done when having your period) and a pelvis ultrasound may assist in making a diagnosis for the pain.  Consult your gyn if either option has not yet been explored.

Exercise: Aerobic exercise (such as walking, water exercise, cycling) on a regular basis (30 minutes 3 times a week) can lessen chronic back pain. Stretching and strengthening the "core" muscles (back and tummy) can also help. Applying heat and cold can also be tried.

Doubt it: Fibromyalgia is a widespread condition involving multiple locations. What you describe sounds more symptom oriented and probably due to some mechanical condition such as arthritis or a strain.

i went to the er around 6-7pm yesterday for back pain was told i had some sciatica issue or what not so they had me take two pills called cyclobenzaprine. ive been dizzy since its now been 21 hours since, is that normal?

Yes, for that drug: Cyclobenzaprine has a 23 hour 1/2 life, and the adult dose is 5-10mg 3 times daily, but most take,it only at bedtime due to drowsiness.

i was in the er for back pain and palpitation and the doctor gave me ibuprofen and oxycodone. i just read the side effects and its dangers and i am scared. is taking one pill going to harm me?
