hi.. i have chronic pain left side upper back and shoulder.. sometimes generates into my arm. my chest feels tight. this has been going on for months ?

Needs to be checked: Pain in upper back and shoulder radiating to arm and chest going on for months needs to be checked by your doctor and treated appropriately.You need a detailed History and Physical Examination and imaging like xrays or MRI to make proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment

Chest xray: It is unlikely that you have angina/heart disease given your age and fact that this is constant and for a month.  You don't mention breathing, cough, sputum, fevers.  Have you had some sort of trauma?  Is it positional, reproducible by pressing? You might have pneumonia, or inflammation/damage to major blood vessels or if it is superficial it is musculoskeletal and needs time to heal.

Musculoskeletal: Anything that hurts worse with movement is usually in the muscles or joints.  This could be a rib strain or costochondritis.  Either way, an anti-inflammatory (advil (ibuprofen) or aleve) may help.

Go see your doctor: There are a lot of things that could cause these symptoms. Go see your doctor to examine you and figure out what could be causing yours. It could be things as simple as panic attacks, to things as significant as emergency heart related problems.

32 female, 10 ekgs, 3 ct chest scans, stress test, heart monitor 14 days, echo, x-ray, tripone blood work all good. still having chest pain left side and arm pain, back pain. could i still be having a heart attack? female symptoms anxiety also

Chest pain: Based on your description it does not sound like you had a heart attack. Lung and musculoskeletal pathology remain possible leads with a possible background anxiety disorder exacerbating symptoms.

Underarm: Underarm pain can be tricky.  There are many of possible causes.   Please go in to be checked as some of those causes are not as benign as others.

More info: There are many things that can give you those symptoms. When do you get pain? What type? How long does it last? Anything make it better? Anything make it worse? Does food affect the pain? Have you had any surgery ? How long has it been there? Have you tried any medications? Did they work? Did you injure yourself? Pulled muscle etc? Has anyone done any studies? Worse with stress?

See thoracic surgeon: Begin with pcp , if no help concider vascular or thoracic surgeon. Your first rib could pressing on the vessel causing symptoms. Thoracic outlet syndrome is remote possibility.

Follows a rib: That's a pretty good description! it's following an intercostal muscle or rib. You may have costochonditis (rheumatism of the joint where the rib attaches to the breatbone). You may have intercostal neuritis. If a rash appears, it could even be shingles. Has there been any minor trauma or lifting?
