Cryingand pain: Yes. Crying can increase straining which in turn can increase muscular pain. Also, crying may be associated with depression, increased serotonin which can lead to muscle spasms and pain.

: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Mechanical: This is probably muscular. You need evaluation of musculoskeletal system. This will decide if it's muscle, bone , chest wall, lung, tendon, bursa, vertebral,etc.

You need a thorough Physical Examination, Chest X-Ray, Lab Work including a CBC and test for Mono, possibly a CT of your chest. I am concerned about the possibility of a Aortic problem which is a life-threatening emergency. Go to ER immediately.

Back pain: Sounds like this has been going on for awhile. It would be helpful for you to see someone if you have not already. I would recommend and ortho or sports medicine doctor. You could probably find one here on Healthtap!  Physical therapy or specific exercises are typically helpful in improving or resolving back problems.

Upper back pain?: Have you had a neck injury?  Do you work stooped over at a desk?   The new pain sounds like it might be nerve-related.  Consider seeing a doctor since you have had it for one year already and are getting new symptoms now.
