Need exam: If you sustained a penile fracture, you need to see a urologist. You may have injured  some of the blood flow or altered some of the structural walls of the penis.  See a urologist to review your options.

hi. i am 17 and i've noticed for awhile that my penis when erect like to bend upwards toward my stomach, but its straight when semi-hard. this normal?

Can Be: Often this can be related to how you direct it in your pants throughout the day. Some referred to this as "dress left or right", meaning do you locate it to the left or right of the crotch seam in your pants/underwear . Or, maybe you direct it upwards. No worries, as long as all functions are doing OK. If unsure, see the Urologist. Good Luck.

Priapism: is an erection more than 4 hours and is more common in individuals with sickle cell disease but can occur in others.  It needs urgent evaluation.

Shouldn't but?: You may have a defect in the thick lining of the penis.  This causes curvature of the penis.  If the penis is erect, hard and not soft or "half hard", then most likely you have this condition called peyronies disease.  If you are concerned with this state of the penis, see your pcp or see a urologist.  Trauma can often cause this as well.  Sudden pop or pain?  Bruising?  "miss-lick"?  See the doc!

No luck: It is unlikely that either surgery or exercise will change to curvature at this point.  Most likely, the curve is due to a small amount of scar tissue developed when the penis becomes aroused.  As long as the curve is not interfering with the function of intercourse, i would recommend leaving it alone.
