Not likely to be: cardiac in etiology. Ask for a referral to a neurosurgeon or orthopedist for treatment of your neck.

Unanswerable: In men this is a pain, or numbness that moves from the chest into the shoulder and then down the arm.  There is not one specific spot that has to have pain. And, on the flip side the lack of symptoms in the arm does not rule out a heart attack.  Not sure what keeps prompting this question about the arm when in men a heart attack is a multitude of symptoms not just arm symptoms alone.

Difficult Question.: CAD is a very difficult problem and symptoms and signs can wax and wain. It depends on what the "Rule Out" Protocol is at your hospital ER. I would suggest that if any difference in symptoms that you have a recheck. Don't be afraid to go back. Sometimes it takes more than one visit to make a diagnosis. Diagnosis is a Dynamic and not just a Static process.

Reffer pain: Nerves from damaged heart tissue convey pain signals to spinal cord levels t1-t4 on the left side, which happen to be the same levels that receive sensation from the left side of the chest and part of the left arm. The brain isn't used to receiving such strong signals from the heart, so it interprets them as pain in the chest and left arm.

See below: Classically, it's pressure, numbness, or heaviness.  However, people have described other feelings like sharpness, aches, or no pain at all except in the chest. Basically, if you feel anything abnormal plus suddenly weak, short of breath, headache, pain, etc., see a doctor.

Call 911: If you are having serious sxs call 911. Heart attack sx can include:   chest pain or tightness, shortness of breath, increased sweating pain or numbness radiating down the arm (more often left than right) and nausea. There could be pain in the upper back, head, jaw or teeth. One fourth of people have heart attacks without chest pain.

Go To Emergency Dept: This can be due to sudden blockage of the arteries supplying the muscle of your heart.   

The symptoms can be variable and move around.

The nearest emergency department can get an ECG and initial evaluation to help you determine if you are having a heart attack and start prompt initial managment.

Arm pain: multiple causes: is this left arm pain? If not associated with chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness or collapse- probably not heart related; however, arm pain needs a checkup and exam.
