Doctor can evaluate: Trauma due to sports, falls, or other incidents should be evaluated by one's doctor (or the ER if suspecting serious injuries) unless the trauma is very mild and symptoms resolve in a day or too. With continued symptoms, the doctor can check to see what the actual injuries are and help with treatment. In a person in her mid-50's, a bruised or broken rib can lead to other issues. Doctor can check.

Many possible Dx: I assume you do not have pain when resting but activities like walking, running, even lifting or carrying probably cause this discomfort/pain. Depending on your usual activities, you could have a chest muscle strain (most likely cause). Inflammation of the lining of the lung called pleuritis cd cause similar Sx. Given your heartburn history, stomach ulcers or gastritis is also possible. TTYD and get seen soon.

Shingles?: Could be shingles, pleurisy (inflammation in the lining of the lung), muscle spasm between the ribs, pneumonia, sprain / strain of the ribs.  You need to see your doctor to find the right diagnosis and get treatment.

Mechanical irritation due to bra wires can exacerbate the symptoms.
