i took a fall on and tried to catch myself with my left hand. i have a pain in the outside of my hand below the pinky and into my wrist. i am 225 lbs ?

Accepted Answer

You need an x-ray: It's easy to fracture some of these tiny bones and you are not yourself tiny!  Until you can get one, wrap your hand or put on a brace to keep everything in position and take some tylenol (acetaminophen).  Good luck!

Many possibilities: This requires a thorough examination and possible laboratory studies, as hard to pin down precisely what is causing all of this.  Some possibilities include shingles, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, stroke, neck problems.  Get this fully addressed asap.

Vasospasm: The change in temperature triggers a spasm in the blood vessels supplying your hands and results in the color change. This is usually not dangerous and can be helped by wearing gloves.

Protection: Protection of your skin is key - meaning both gloves to protect from physically abrasive materials like metals, tools, chemicals, etc and protection also with a good moisturizing agent. Choose a quality brand (aquaphor, aveeno, (oatmeal) eucerin, etc) without fragrances and apply liberally to hands multiple times daily.  Auto & home repair stores also sell various barrier cream/paste products that may help.

Cold hands: Do they turn red, white, & blue? Darker Skin: This is normal and not a medical condition or a disease.  The skin there is most likely exposed to sun and the environment more than your other skin. This is normal and should not be of any concern.

Need more info: Unless you were exposed to extreme weather conditions, allergens,  or were engaged in some form of strenuous activity outside, the shaking of your hands is unrelated to going outside.

Rest: If your assumption it is from texting than rest from texting will be the first thing to consider.  Also you might want to consider an NSAID like Ibuprofen or aleve (naproxen). Icing the area can also reduce inflammation.  These are the most common treatments for tendinitis or muscle fatigue/inflammation.  If it does not resolve after the rest and these things i would see a hand specialist for an evaluation.

Possible: Before a man ejactualtes, there is pre ejactualte that could have gotten in you which has viable sperm.  There may be semen also still in his urethra after he ejactualated and then went back inside of you that may have come out.  The pull out technique of birth control is not a good or reliable form of birth control.
