Muscular: Since it has been a few weeks and no better, no is the time to see your doc to have an exam.  Most of these issues resolve in time.  You may benefit from some physical therapy.

See your doctor: You should not have had a UTI for 2 weeks if you were being treated correctly.  Although without other symptoms it is less likely that the infection has reached your kidneys, but this can be kidney stones, ureteritis or something completely outside the urinary tract, like an ovarian cyst, etc.  Go and get diagnosed. Left back pain: The differential diagnosis for your condition is huge. It could be a pain from kidney stone to localized muscular pain to a referred pain from underlying condition. I would recommend you to be seen by a doctor and get examined and probably obtain labs. If the pain is severe, you should visit a emergency room

i have a pain in my back on the left side mid way down. it started around 8pm last night. i took a muscle relaxer, and now at 12:46 noon it still hurt?

Heat, ibuprofen : Hi!  if it started spontaneously it is probably a muscle spasm.  Try a heating pad for 15 min every 4 hrs, and take an anti-inflammatory med like Ibuprofen or naproxen.  A hot bath or jacuzzi may also help.  Warning signs for something more concerning include fever, pain radiating down your leg, shortness of breath, foul-smelling urine. Good luck!

i am having pain in my back on the left side and it is in my lower back.  what could be the cause of it? i thought it was just constipation but now i'm not so sure.  it has been hurting for several hours and the pain is getting worse.

As : As with most pain conditions, there can be a variety of potential problems that can cause the pain that you are describing.  It is difficult to diagnose with the short description given and without a proper physical examination.  Pain is often a sign of inflammation.  Inflammation often occurs when something is irritated.  Irritation occurs from a variety of different things.

If the pain does not improve, you should see someone who is qualified to make an appropriate diagnosis.  Typically, the first place to start is your primary care physician.  They may order some imaging.  They may refer you to a board certified and fellowship trained interventional pain specialist, like me.

As always, i would highly suggest you do your research when seeking medical help.  Find a physician who meets, or even better, exceeds the basic qualifications to practice in their specific field or sub-specialty.

Maybe kidney: This may be a number of things from inflammation of the ribs, to a kidney infection or even involving the breast.  Office visit and evaluation would be recommended.

Musculoskeletal: The symptoms are seen most often with a musculoskeletal strain. You may have done something to overwork those muscles recently. Kidney stones can also cause problems as can herniation of the disc in the back. If the symptoms do not improve after several days then you should see your dr. There are many other causes of pain and that should be evaluated if it doesn't resolve.

i was recently diagnosed with pcos. i have a pain in my lower back on the left side and it's also in the front. could this be from the pcos?
