i am suffering from pain in the knuckles of both hands & the sides of both hands wrists as well.this is accompanied by tingling in hands & sometimes bottom of feet.it started 5 days ago.no swelling/no redness/but a slight pain if pressing on knuckles?

Possibly Raynaud's: Raynauds involves cold or stress induced vasospasm of small vessels in hands and feet.  It is really more of an annoyance than a harmful problem.  Calcium channel blockers are the most common medication that physicians use to treat the symptoms of raynauds. The main drawback is the side effects from these medicines.  Keeping your hands and feet warm remains the best treatment.

topical application of ice relieves pain . Using pain medications or anti inflammatory mess also helps. Topical creams like voltarn gel or capsaicin can also relieve local pain.

Are they swollen?: Or inflammed? If it is pain only, then it's arthralgia. If associated with swelling, warmth, redness, then it's indicative of inflammation.

You could see a physician to be evaluated (tonight (urgent care) or tomorrow), then ask him/her if it would be safe to delay diagnostic testing until your insurance kicks in.

Unsure: I would be concerned about juvenile rheumatoid arthritis if this has been going on for a while.  I am not sure if the water is hot or cold which may help with the diagnosis.
