Several options: First: Are you a smoker?   Pain in this distribution most likely comes from the sinuses,  Could be ordinary infection but might also be obstruction or tumor.  If this is persistent pain, then you should see an ENT doctor soon - especially if the nasal discharge is blood tinged and if there is swelling and redness of the facial structures

See eye doctor: The eyeball sits in a boney cave which one may call the socket.  The eyeball is surrounded by bones on all sides and the back like a scoop of ice cream sitting in a sugar cone.

Sinus problem: Acute or chronic sinusitis and or bone disease can cause this and appropriate xrays or ct scan can offer an explation.

Check up needed: A man with a lump and a black eye that lasts for weeks should be examined.  It may be that the cause of the black eye was a fracture (broken bone) in the bones of the skull that surround the eye.

Hard to say: If it is similar in size,location &amp; shape on both sides it is likely just a variant in your skull shape. You can ask your doc when you go in fore something else, since an exam would help sort it out. I wouldn't loose sleep over it or go in just for this.

Maybe sinusitis: Could be inflammation blocking the outlet of your maxillary or sphenoid sinus, causing pressure to back up and cause pain. Could be infection or environmental allergies. See your primary care provider or an ENT specialist if its persistent or gets worse. Hope this helps!

pea sized bump that feels like its on eye socket bone near nose bridge. doesnt cause pain, only know its there from feeling around one day. cannot see it under the skin. has been the same size for over 2 years now. should i be concerned?

No worries : A mass that size that’s been stable for two years is very unlikely to be anything worrisome. It most is a skin cyst that requires no treatment. If it’s lower down on the bridge of your nose just blow the eye, it could be a cyst of the tear duct but if you’re not having any trouble with excessive tearing and that’s very unlikely.

Sinus: I suspect a swollen full sinus on that side. Could try otc mess but if no relief see your primary care doc.
