GERD: The symptoms of reflux disease and angina are very very similar .... A very common presentation in the ER is people suffering from angina who think they have reflux (and visa versa).  It's definitely best for you to see your family doctor to be evaluated.  If you feel any pressure, heaviness, burning or choking sensation ... Definitely head to the ER. i've had chest pain for a couple of days usually worse after eating. i'm afraid it's a heart attack. it starts in left chest and goes to my back. i've been nauseous and i have a sinus infection?

Dr evaluation : In your young age group a heart attack would be quite unlikely (unless you have an underlying heart problem already) - more likely either a lung problem like pleurisy (which can occur related to sinus/respiratory infection) or a gastrointestinal problem like reflux or gastritis.  If fever/dizziness/trouble breathing see Dr ASAP but if not could try acid blocker for few days to see if helps.

GERD: I don't believe it's your heart based on your age.There are a few reasons why this may happen.More commonly, it can be acid reflux.A less common explanation could be esophageal spasms.Do you eat very hot or cold foods?Either way, it's important you check this out w/ your doc to ensure it isn't your heart.If it isn't, you many need an endoscopy to get a better look at your esophagus & stomach.
