Hormonal changes: When does your symptoms happens around the menstrual period times or all the time?  If it is around the periods may be having perimenstrual dysthymia from the hormonal changes. Have yourself examined, so that detailed history and physical could be performed to get a diagnosis

Severalpossibilities: While the right lower quadrant is home to the appendix, is is also where the colon resides. Referred pain is the name of pain that starts in one organ (think liver, gallbladder) but goes to another part of the body. It is possible your pain is from the gallbladder or the colon, but a good primary care provider can help figure this out. In the meantime, you could try prilosec or a PI to see if GERD

Probable gas pain: It may be related to diet and the bacteria in your bowel. Is it possible you are constipated? There are certain types of food if acted on by your bowel bacteria could produce gas, and the bowel distention especially if not let through easily because of constipation, may cause pain. Reduce sugar and dairy may help, however you know best the type of food that makes it worse for you. Increase fiber.

Constant?: If so, you may have an enlarged liver or mass of some kind.  You should be seen and examined.  If it comes and goes, it could possibly be some buildup of fluid or gas, not so serious.  Good luck.

Ovulation?: I you were mid-cycle, it was likely the pain of ovulation, aka: mittelschmerz. It should resolve in 48 hours with motrin. It could also be a ruptured ovarian cyst, assuming you have not missed your period or could be pregnant.

The lower edge of: the liver is at the edge of your rib cage.The liver is covered,and protected ,by the rib cage.Pain in the lower right abdomen is not from the liver,unless your liver is hugely enlarged.The lower right abdomen is where your appendix is located.With your history of starting an exercise routine,I wonder if you pulled a muscle.
